Royal AM Set Sights on Bucs Superstar
After losing one of their key players, Royal AM has reportedly set their sights on another heavy hitter.
Last week, it was announced that forward Victor Letsoalo would be leaving Royal AM to join Sekhukhune United in a deal worth R3 million.
With Letsoalo gone, Thwihli Thwahla are looking to fill the void by potentially signing Orlando Pirates skipper and veteran defender, Happy Jele.
Per recent reports, 35-year-old Jele’s future at the Bucs are currently being discussed by the club’s higher-ups, with the possibility of him being promoted to a non-playing coaching role.
“[Pirates are] going to meet him soon to determine his future,” a source explained to a local soccer outlet. “There is already huge interest to sign him. Royal AM are keen and watching his situation at Pirates.”
Jele is worth over R4.7 million, and Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize has enough money in her pocket to spend on him, if she so chooses. Only time will tell what the outcome will be.
